POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for handling a variety of sales-related functions supporting several Account Managers, including preparation of proposals and presentations, processing of RFQs and submission of quotes, interacting with customers and principals. Serve as point of contact for Account Managers/Sales Representatives who are at customer sites, as well as contact customers (many who speak Chinese, Korean, or other languages)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepare documents, reports, spreadsheets and presentations in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other similar formats.
  2. Serve as point of contact for Account Managers/Sales Representatives to customers, providing support as necessary (including participation in conference calls, meetings and document review)
  3. Provide clerical support to assigned Account Managers and others as needed
  4. Prepare and maintain Excel spreadsheets and logs for tracking and documenting various items including, but not limited to, automotive parts shipments and logistics, new business written, and part number logs.
  5. Interact with customers, responding to requests and providing information as needed.
  6. Maintain both electronic and paper files.
  7. Perform general office duties including faxing, filing, copying, routine maintenance of office printers, general computer assistance, answering phones, etc.
  8. Organize events as needed (meetings, trade shows, company outings, etc.)
  9. Perform additional responsibilities, as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and/or Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
  2. Minimum 3 years clerical or sales support experience.
  3. Automotive industry experience preferred.
  4. Chinese (Mandarin) speaking preferred.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

1. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and ability to adapt to other software packages.

  1. Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with principals, vendors, customers and visitors.
  2. Written and verbal fluency in English and preferred fluency in Mandarin Chinese
  3. Excellent organizational skills including ability to handle multi-functional tasks and prioritize situations following through to completion.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

PHASE ONE Trade Seminar & Reception on January 23rd 2020

The Detroit Chinese Business Association produced a “Phase One” Seminar on January 23rd at the Sheffield Office Center in Troy.
Presentations from Kerr Russell, BDO & Miller Canfield, focused on the recent changes to theongoing trade agreements.
Our guests actively participate this event to discuss the new trade agreements between China and US, and guests are from different industries, such as automobile parts, manufacturers and international trade.
