More Chinese Companies Invest in the Auto Industry
(originally reported by CCTV, China Central Television)
Two years ago, the Aviation Industry Corporation of China or AVIC bought Henniges auto supplier, to put its money to work in North America and gain access to the huge U.S. Automotive market.
Henniges Automotive provides world class vehicle sealing and anti-vibration solutions for the global automotive industry. It manufactures rubber weather strips that fill the gaps in between a car's sheet metal. These noise absorbers are more important than ever. Larry Williams, as President and Chief Financial Officer Henniges Automotive, said that the largest growth is in China.
More Chinese companies and suppliers are realizing that if they want to be taken seriously they must be international conglomerates, global companies, like their US counterparts. In Detroit, the city's Chinese Business Association actively works with companies looking to relocate here.

High Hopes for Clearer US Standing on Hi-Tech Investment
An article was written recently in the South China Morning Post that explores the potential for hi-tech US and Chinese companies to gain better access to Each other's' markets. For the US side the lifting of restrictions around "dual-use technologies" will allow US companies to invest in more sectors in China, including water treatment and bioscience. For the Chinese side, clearing up the regulatory ambiguity around Chinese firms coming to America will go a long way in Chinese companies deciding to invest in the US.
