The Consulate General of China in Chicago Visit DCBA Office 
Troy, Michigan - On August 30,2016. The new Consulate General of China in Chicago - Hong Lei, Deputy Consul General - Yu Peng, Counselor of Commercial Affairs - Sun Jingdong, and the staffs of the Consul General of China in Chicago visited the DCBA office. 
DCBA President - Jerry Xu introduced the DCBA to Mr. Hong, and specifically introduced the important DCBA events in the year of 2016. 
Mr. Hong Lei, thanked DCBA for their service to US & China relations and bring the best wishes to DCBA!!
        DIA Reception with DCBA - Upcoming Asian Arts Exhibition 
Detroit, Michigan -On August 29th the Friends of Asian Arts & Culture (FAAC) Committee of the Detroit Institute of the Arts, held a private reception in which the Detroit Chinese Business Association were asked to invite Chinese American community leaders in the Detroit Metro Area in the Diego Rivera Court to learn about the upcoming exciting Asian exhibition in 2018.   
Leading the evening was David Morrison (FAAC) board member, welcoming remarks and overview by DIA Executive Director Salvador Salort-Pons, Curatorial remarks about the Arts of China Curator Ms. Birgetta Augustin and announcement of DCBA President Jerry Xu as new board member of FAAC.

                Luncheon with Autism Alliance of Michigan (AAoM)
Troy, Michigan- On August 11th, DCBA was invited to attend luncheon at Continental Services hosted by Autism Alliance of Michigan (AAoM). The Autism Alliance of Michigan is a statewide non-profit with a long-standing history of advocacy for autism-related issues.
Al Nelson invited his own corporate partners to attend today's luncheon at Continental Services, with the hope of improving the landscape of employment options for individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
We heard from Alliance leaders, CEO Colleen Allen and Tammy Morris, along with Ford Motor Company, to learn more about a new, sustainable, competitive employment model. In addition, we heard from Griggs Steel, and DTE Energy, who have also been engaged with AAoM, and have taken their own giant strides toward hiring individuals with disabilities.

Nexteer World Headquarters' Grand Opening Event
Auburn Hills, Michigan - On August 18, 2016. DCBA were invited to celebrate the grand opening of Nexteer world headquarters. Around 11 am, the ribbon cutting started. The world headquarters officially opened!! Congratulations to Nexteer Automotive!
Oakland County Executive - L. Brook Patterson, City Manager of Auburn Hills - Thomas A.Tanghe, and CEO of Michigan Economic Development Corporation - Steve Arwood, made welcome remarks to Nexteer's new world headquarters. 
The chairman of Nexteer - Zhao Guibin also made splendid speech, to announce the grand opening.

Opportunities in China for U.S. Environmental Technology Companies
                                                                September 13 9am.
On September 13, 9am Eastern Time, the U.S. Department of Commerce, Mandarin Environment, and the Michigan Energy Innovation Business Council will use awebinar to present opportunities in China for U.S. environmental & water technology companies.
The speakers will include Jay Biggs, a Foreign Service officer assigned to the Commercial Section of the U.S. Embassy in Beijing; John Robinson, principal at Mandarin Environment, a consultancy which advises U.S. environmental technology companies on China operations and strategy; and Jennifer Turner, director of the China Environment Forum at the Woodrow Wilson Center.
