Troy, Michigan - On Thursday March 3, 2016, the DCBA hosted a four-party business dialogues welcoming a 6-people delegation from Taizhou, Jiangsu Province to Michigan at DCBA Troy office. The delegation comes from various industries including pharmaceutical, new energy, transportation, etc. 
Jerry Xu, the President of DCBA welcomed all guests to attend this business conference and invited special guests from U.S. Department of Commerce and Oakland County to participate in the conversation stating the positions of local business and government level.
Mr. Yang Jie, the Deputy Mayor of City of Taizhou who led this delegation, said the government of Taizhou is seeking for international corporations on various fields, including biology and medical; new energy; and ocean industry. City of Taizhou has over 400 companies and 50 R&Ds involved in the medical industry with lots of skilled employees who have relative overseas background. The city is striving to position a branding as "China Medical City" (CMC) in a decade. 
Mr. Yang mentioned that the city and local business are engaging in the health-relative industry, particular in healthy aging program. "Importing advanced health resources is the next step to brand the CMC, meanwhile, we're willing to open the opportunity and market to US not only in the medical business, but also in our leading industries, such as new energy and ocean industry" said by Mr. Yang. Taizhou situates on north of the Yangtze River and has fundamental facilities to promote its ocean industry, such as ship building and deep-sea drilling. 
Matthew Gibb, Deputy Oakland County Executive, attended the conference and stated current multi-partnership among Oakland County and the City of Taizhou. Matt and his team visited the CMC in Taizhou last year, on behalf of the "Medical Main Street" presenting by Oakland County. "It's glad to hear that the government is involved into CMC project. We want this relationship" said Matthew Gibb, who serves the county to build and forest international affairs. 
DCBA's Milan Stevanovich and Great Lakes Angels Founder David Weaver also presented in Taizhou Medical City Conference regarding Michigan's strength in Life Sciences November 2015. We are working on USA China Medical Forum with Taizhou Medical City. 
Matthew Quigley, the Foreign Commercial Service Officer of U.S. Dept. of Commerce also affirms the process of medical industry in China. Mr. Quigley said that the Sino-American hospital is one of achievements in China. "To forester our further corporations, we should build the dialuge with China commerce department in high-level, but the business and service is still operated by locals" said Quigley.

Troy, Michigan - On On March 17,  DCBA member attended the Ethnic Cabinet meeting at Automation Alley. Speakers from Macomb County and Michigan Office for New Americans (MONA) gave presentations regarding how to create a global friendly communities in Michigan. 
As one of the speakers, Pamela Lavers, the Deputy Macomb County Executive said "OneMacomb is a priority project for us to promote multiculturalism and strengthen its economy". Meanwhile, the county focuses on the new method of business communication to reduce the language barrier through online software.    
Annie Fenton, the MITS Program Director of MONA gave a speech that the organization is working with local talent-seekers to access with skilled immigrants, as a way to support the Michigan economy together. 
DCBA Led the MSU China Entrepreneur Network (CEN) Team to visit Ford Motor Company

Lansing, Michigan - On February 28, DCBA team were invited to attend the Michigan Entrepreneurship Competition hosting by China Entrepreneur Network (CEN) MSU. Xu was one of the competition judges to support this creative business event.
Dearborn, Michigan -In March, CEN MSU team visited the Ford Motor Company Headquarter along with DCBA members. The 20-people student group enjoyed conversations with Ford Asia Pacific Integration as well as the manufacturing plant tour.
